Carnival US Travel | AUGUST 2025 PILGRIMAGE DIARY – A JOURNEY TO ITALY THAT WAS NOT ONLY BEAUTIFUL, BUT TRULY “MEMORABLE”

Some journeys end when the plane lands and you return home. But there are also journeys that, long after they've been taken, people still talk about for a long time – not because of "how many places you've been," but because of the emotions that lingered throughout the trip.
Carnival US Travel's "Beauty of Italy" tour, departing from San Francisco, is one such journey.
It's not just a trip through Italy's famous cities, but a truly "premium" journey – where every experience, from the itinerary and hotels to the quality of service, is designed so that customers not only travel, but truly enjoy each stop to the fullest.
A special pilgrimage during the Jubilee Year
For many of the group, the most memorable moment of the trip wasn't the beautiful scenery or famous cities, but the moment they met the Pope and personally kissed his hand at the Vatican.
Not everyone gets the chance to experience that in their lifetime, and that's why that moment became a very special milestone for the entire pilgrimage group in August 2025.
In the vast St. Peter's Square, amidst the sacred space of the Vatican during the Jubilee Year, everything seemed to transcend a typical "tour," becoming a truly authentic journey of faith – where things previously only seen in images or heard about suddenly appeared right before our eyes.

Venice – where everything moves a little slower.
Leaving the Vatican, the journey continues to Venice – a city that almost everyone has seen in pictures, but only by actually visiting can one understand why it is so special.
Without the noise of cars or the hustle and bustle of traffic, Venice operates on canals, stone bridges, and narrow streets winding between ancient buildings. Just walking around a few corners, you'll clearly feel the slower, gentler pace of life here, somewhat detached from the modern world outside.
That was also one of the things that many of the group enjoyed the most: the feeling of stepping into a very different Italy – classic, romantic, and almost untouched by time.

Florence & Pisa – where art is present in every corner.
While Venice exudes romantic beauty, Florence truly captures the artistic spirit of Italy.
You don't need to step into a large museum; simply walking through the city, you can see traces of the Renaissance in every square, every architectural structure, or the statues that appear right in the middle of public spaces. Florence isn't the kind of city that overwhelms you immediately, but the longer you explore, the more you realize the depth of culture it holds.
The journey also took the group to Pisa – home to the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, a place almost everyone wants to see with their own eyes. Interestingly, standing before this structure, many people realize that the beauty of Pisa doesn't lie in its "leaning," but in how the surrounding square creates a harmonious, very Italian, and very special atmosphere.

Verona – where the story of Romeo and Juliet still lives on.
One of the stops that brought many unexpected emotions to the group was Verona – the city associated with the famous story of Romeo and Juliet.
Although it's a literary story, many people still feel a special connection when they actually step into Juliet's house with its familiar balcony. Perhaps this is because Verona doesn't try to turn it into a "photo-op spot," but instead preserves the city's inherent old-world charm and romance.
Interestingly, even the small streets around Verona have a very cinematic feel – making it easy to understand why Italy is always associated with art, love, and emotion.

Assisi – a place that left the entire group almost speechless.
But if they had to choose the place that left the deepest impression on them during their journey, for many, it would be Assisi.
Not as bustling as Rome, nor as famous as Venice or Florence, Assisi possesses a very different kind of beauty – tranquil, sacred, and almost instinctively makes one slow down upon entering.
As the group entered the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, many were truly overwhelmed by the interior. The gold-plated walls reflected the light, creating a feeling that was both sacred and magnificent, yet not ostentatious. Everything here evoked a profound feeling – not only in terms of architecture, but also in the spirit that this place has preserved for hundreds of years.
And perhaps that is why Assisi has always been one of the most special stops on Jubilee journeys.

A premium experience is not just about the hotel.
The "Beauty of Italy" tour in August 2025 is one of the premium itineraries designed by Carnival US Travel specifically for customers who want to experience Europe in a more complete and comfortable way.
It's not just about the optimized itinerary to avoid being too hectic, but also about the small details of service that make a big difference to the entire experience. From high-quality hotels and porterage services to help carry luggage to your room, to carefully selected dining options – everything is designed so that customers don't have to worry about the "tiring" parts of the trip, and can focus more on enjoying the journey.
One of the most memorable experiences that many guests recalled after the trip was visiting the famous Local Gelato Spot with over 100 different ice cream flavors – a very ordinary corner of Italy, but one that delighted the whole group like children discovering something new for the first time.
More than just a European tour
There are journeys where, after they end, what remains is more than just beautiful images on a phone.
Rather, it's the feeling that you've truly slowed down, felt more, and delved deeper into each experience.
Carnival US Travel's "Beauty of Italy" tour in August 2025 is perhaps one such journey – where the beauty of Italy lies not only in its famous cities, but also in how each destination is connected by emotion, cultural depth, and experiences subtle enough to leave a lasting impression long after one returns home.
