Day 1: (Thursday, Jan 1): USA

ON FLIGHT. Passengers gather at the airport to complete check-in procedures for the flight to Rome.

Day 2: (Friday, Jan 2): USA – ROME

Upon arrival in Rome, you will go through immigration procedures. The tour guide will then take the group to the hotel for check-in.

Have dinner and rest at the hotel. Overnight stay in Rome.

Day 3: (Saturday, Jan 3): ROME (B,D)

After breakfast at the hotel, the vehicle and guide will take you to visit:

  • Callisto Catacombs – Pope Zeferino (199-217) entrusted the care of the catacombs to Deacon Callistus. Later, Deacon Callistus was elected Pope, succeeding Pope Zeferino and governing the Church (217-222) until Callistus's martyrdom and burial in this cemetery. In the 3rd century, nine Roman bishops were buried in the Catacombs of St. Callistus, also known as the Papal Chapel. In total, 46 popes and over 170,000 martyrs are buried here, including the tomb of St. Cecilia.
  • Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Wall It is one of the four most important ancient cathedrals in Rome, built by Emperor Constantine on the burial site of Saint Paul.
  • Basilica of St. John Lateran – After issuing the Edict of Milan in 313 granting the Catholic Church religious freedom throughout the Roman Empire, Emperor Constantine commissioned the construction of the Basilica of Lateran between 313 and 318 to honor the Savior. This is the Mother and Head (Mater et Caput) of all churches in the world. During the pontificate of Pope Gregory I (590-604), the basilica was dedicated to both Saint John the Baptist and Saint John the Apostle. Pope Lucius II established its current name, the Basilica of St. John Lateran, in 1144. From the 4th to the 14th centuries, this basilica was the center of the Roman Church, the seat and symbol of the Pope.
  • Stair saint – According to tradition, Jesus ascended the steps to be judged by Pilate in his palace, and the blood of Jesus was found on the steps. On the Holy Stairs is the Holy Chapel containing very precious relics.
  • The Church of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem – (The Basilica of The Holy Cross in Jerusalem) where many precious relics are kept: a nail once used to crucify Jesus; two thorns from His Crown of Thorns; a finger belonging to Saint Thomas; a fragment of the good thief's cross; three fragments from the cross of Jesus; the reliquary containing small pieces of the crucifix; and especially a piece of wood from the cross of Jesus inscribed with the word "Nazere" in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek.

Day 4: (Sunday, Jan 4): ROME – VATICAN (B,D)

After enjoying a buffet breakfast at the hotel, guests will depart for a visit to:

  • Attend the event reading the Gospel together The Pope.
  • Holy Basilica Peter – St. Peter Basilica – One of the Four Great Basilicas in Rome. The first basilica was built by Emperor Constantine in 320. The current basilica was built over 120 years (1506-1606) during the reigns of 18 papacies under the direction of 12 famous architects such as Bramante, Michelangelo, Raffaello, and Maderno. It is the largest and most beautiful basilica in the world.
  • St. Mary Major's Basilica – One of Rome's four major basilicas, built in the 4th century. According to legend, the Virgin Mary appeared to John and Pope Liberius (352-366) and asked them to build a shrine to her in the snow-covered hill of Esquilino on the night of August 4th and the morning of August 5th, 358. Therefore, the people revered her as "Our Lady of the Snow," later changed to "Our Lady of God" after the Council of Ephesus proclaimed the dogma of Our Lady of God in 431. This is the only basilica in Rome that still retains its original architectural features. It houses a wooden manger where Jesus lay at his birth in Bethlehem.
  • Vatican Museum – The Vatican Museums are a priceless treasure trove of art for the Catholic Church, housing thousands of works from ancient Roman times to the Renaissance. Most notable is the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's masterpiece ceiling – a symbol of faith and art.
  • Colosseum – The Colosseum is a large amphitheater in the city of Rome, built between approximately 70 and 72 AD during the reign of Emperor Vespasian. Having weathered many historical upheavals, the Colosseum still stands as a masterpiece of time.Take souvenir photos outside.)
  • Roman Forum It was the political, religious, and commercial heart of the ancient Roman Empire. Today, only the crumbling columns and foundations remain, but they still tell the story of Rome's glorious past.
  • Palatine Hill – Located near the Titus Gate, visitors can explore newly unearthed sites such as the House of Augustus and the Domitian Stadium. From the Palatine, visitors can see the Maximus Theatre, where famous horse races took place.

Day 5: (Monday, Jan 5): ROME – TOULOUSE – LOURDES (B,D)

After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, the group will be transported to Toulouse to catch a flight to Lourdes. Located at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains in southwestern France, Lourdes is one of the largest pilgrimage centers in the Catholic world. It is famous for the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Saint Bernadette in 1858.

Upon arriving in Lourdes, guests are free to have lunch, and the vehicle will then take the group to visit:

  • Massabielle Caves – As the site where the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette in 1858, the Massabielle grotto has become a globally renowned pilgrimage center. Here, the Virgin Mary called for prayer, repentance, and invited people to the sacred springs.
  • Sacred bathing pool (Les Piscines) - The sacred bathing pool at Lourdes is where the faithful are invited to immerse themselves in the springs given by the Virgin Mary, as an act of faith and hope. Many pilgrims have experienced peace and healing of soul and body after participating in this ritual.
  • Attend Procession and Recitation of the Rosary evenings and participating in community activities.

Have dinner and rest at the hotel. Overnight stay in Lourdes.

Day 6: (Tuesday, Jan 6): LOURDES – Pilgrimage Site (B,D)

After breakfast, the group will visit the following places:

  • House of Saint Bernadette – The house where Saint Bernadette lived during her childhood is preserved as a small museum, helping pilgrims better understand the simple life and strong faith of the woman who received 18 apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Lourdes.
  • Cathedral The Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary – Basilica of Immaculate Conception – Located in the hills, just behind the Massabielle cave and above the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, it is therefore also known as the Upper Church.
  • The underground church is named after Pope Pius X. – With a capacity of 25,000 people, this underground church is the venue for international Masses and symbolizes the universal welcome of the Virgin Mary to all peoples.
  • Prayer by station Stations of the Cross – The journey through the 14 Stations of the Cross on Espélugues Hill is a time of profound prayer, helping pilgrims to meditate on the Passion of Jesus and unite with His sacrificial love.

Have dinner and rest at the hotel. Overnight stay in Lourdes.

Day 07: (Wednesday, Jan 7): LOURDES – ZARAGOZA (B,D)

After breakfast at the hotel and checking out, the group will depart for Zaragoza. Located on the Ebro River in the Aragon region, Zaragoza is where Our Lady of the Pillar appeared to Saint James in the 1st century. It is one of the oldest Christian pilgrimage sites. On the way to Zaragoza, the group will stop at the following locations:

  • Saint Peter's Cathedral In Aragon – the first Romanesque church in Spain – this cathedral is a sacred and historical symbol of the Aragon region, embodying pre-Romanesque architecture and the spirit of early Christian faith.

Upon arriving in Zaragoza, the tour group will be taken to visit the following locations:

  • Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar – The place where the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint James the Apostle is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Spain.
  • Admire the Sacred Pillar – A pillar made of jade, believed to have been left behind by the Virgin Mary herself – a symbol of enduring faith throughout history.
  • Visiting the Cathedral of the Savior – A blend of Gothic and Mudéjar architecture, marking the central role of the Church in Zaragoza.
  • Santa Engracia Basilica This ancient church houses sacred relics and honors martyrs from the 4th century during the early Church period.

Have dinner and rest at the hotel. Overnight stay in Zaragoza.

Day 8: (Thursday, Jan 8): ZARAGOZA – AVILA (B,D)

After breakfast at the hotel and checking out, the group will depart for Avila. Located in the central highlands of Spain, Avila is famous for its fortified ancient walls and is the birthplace of Saint Thérèse of Jesus – a great saint of the Carmelite Reformed order. Upon arrival in Avila, the group will visit the following sites:

  • Convent of Santa Teresa – Built on the very birthplace of Saint Thérèse, the convent is a sacred site and an important pilgrimage destination for prayer and reflection on her inspiring life.
  • St. Teresa Museum – A place that preserves relics, letters, and sacred mementos of Saint Thérèse, helping pilgrims to gain a deeper understanding of her inner path and reform of the Carmelite Order.
  • Visit the ancient city walls, one of the best-preserved medieval wall systems in Europe, symbolizing the protection of faith and the rich history of the city.
  • Avila Cathedral (Catedral del Salvador) - As a sturdy church, its structure served both as a place of worship and a fortress, demonstrating strong faith amidst turbulent times.
  • San Segundo Chapel – A solemn, ancient chapel, the resting place of the city's patron saint – Saint Segundo.
  • Historic Square Santa Teresa & Mercado Chico – This is the historical center of Ávila, where guests can fully experience the ancient charm, tranquility, and traditional lifestyle of the local people.
  • Contemplate Mirador Cuato Postes At sunset – the place where Saint Thérèse used to stop and pray when leaving the city.

Have dinner and relax at the hotel. Overnight stay in Avila.

Day 9: (Friday, Jan 9): AVILA – FATIMA (B,D)

After breakfast at the hotel and checking out, the group will depart for Fatima. Before arriving in Fatima, the group will visit the following locations in Avila.

  • Monastery of the Incarnation (Monasterio de la Encarnación) - The Monastery of the Incarnation, where Saint Thérèse of Jesus lived nearly 30 years in cloistered contemplation, is the place where her contemplative path and reform of the Carmelite Order began. It is a profound pilgrimage site for those seeking inner peace and intimate union with God.
  • St. Joseph's Monastery (Convento de San José) – As the first convent founded by Saint Thérèse herself during the reform of the Carmelite Order in 1562, the St. Joseph Convent marks a significant turning point in the history of nun monastic life. It still retains its simplicity and austerity, true to the contemplative spirit that the saint advocated.

After a free lunch, the group will depart by bus for Fatima, about 250 km from Avila. This is the place where the Virgin Mary appeared to the three shepherd children in 1917. This site has become an international pilgrimage destination with millions of believers gathering there every year.

  • Join the community in the Rosary candle procession.

Have dinner and rest at the hotel. Overnight stay in Fatima.

Day 10: (Saturday, Jan 10): FATIMA (B,D)

After breakfast at the hotel, the group will spend the entire day in Fatima praying.

  • Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary - The main pilgrimage center of Fatima, where the relics of the three visionaries—Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta—to whom the Virgin Mary appeared in 1917, are kept.
  • Tombs of the visionaries and the village of Aljustrel – The group will visit the tombs of the visionaries and the peaceful village of Aljustrel – the children's hometown, which still retains its simple, rustic charm from the time of the Virgin Mary's apparitions. (if there is a scheduled visit)
  • Chapel of the Apparitions - Built right where Our Lady appeared to the three children, this small chapel is the sacred heart of the Fatima sanctuary – where millions of faithful gather to pray and attend Mass.
  • The Stations of the Cross to Valinhos & Loca by Cabeco – It is a path for meditating on the Passion of Christ, leading to Valinhos – where the Virgin Mary appeared for the fourth time, and Loca do Cabeço – where the Angel of Peace appeared to the children before the Virgin Mary's arrival.
  • Participating in the Rosary candle procession – where thousands of lights offer prayers of the Rosary – is a sacred and deeply moving moment at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima.

Day 11: (Sunday, Jan 11): FATIMA – LISBON (B,D)

After breakfast at the hotel and checking out, the group will depart for Lisbon. Located on the banks of the Tagus River, which flows into the Atlantic Ocean, Lisbon boasts a blend of ancient and modern beauty. It is also the birthplace of Saint Anthony of Padua – one of the most beloved saints in the Church. Upon arrival in Lisbon, the group will visit the following sites:

  • Port and city Lisbon – The Portuguese capital, Lisbon, is situated on the banks of the Tagus River and is notable for its cobblestone streets, red-roofed houses, and picturesque scenery. Lisbon is a place where historical depth blends with modern, friendly charm.
  • Church Lisbon Cathedral (Lisbon Cathedral) - The city's oldest cathedral, with its sturdy Romanesque architecture, stands as a witness to centuries of faith history in Lisbon.
  • Chapel of St. Anthony of Padua (Church of St. Anthony) - Built right on the birthplace of Saint Anthony – a world-renowned saint – this place attracts a large number of pilgrims who come to pray and give thanks.
  • Belem Tower beside Tagus River (Belém Tower) - This iconic Lisbon landmark, built to guard the river mouth, is now a UNESCO World Heritage site – a symbol of Portugal's glorious era of maritime exploration.
  • Jeronimos Monastery (Jerónimos Monastery) - One of the most beautiful Manueline architectural structures, it was once a place where explorers prayed before embarking on their journeys to discover new worlds.
  • Monument of the Discoveries - The Tagus Riverfront monument commemorates renowned explorers such as Vasco da Gama and Prince Henry, reminding us of the Portuguese spirit of courage, exploration, and missionary work.

Farewell Mass and dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel. Overnight in Lisbon.

Day 12: (Monday, Jan 12): LISBON – USA

After breakfast and checking out, enjoy free time for sightseeing and shopping. Then, the bus will take the group to the airport for the flight back to the USA.

Day 13: (Tuesday, Jan 13): USA

Go to the airport to complete immigration procedures and collect your luggage. This concludes the pilgrimage program. We look forward to seeing you again on future Carnival tours.

  • Round-trip economy class airfare for groups is subject to departure gateway. Prices may vary depending on the travel dates and seat availability.
  • Domestic flight tickets. Checked baggage allowance: 20 kg + 1 small carry-on bag (40 x 20 x 25 cm) – subject to airline regulations. If you require additional checked baggage, please pay the fee as per airline regulations.

TOUR PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE

  • Passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of return to the United States. The passport must meet the following requirements: the photograph must not be damaged or blurry, and all information must be complete. Even if the passport is still valid, a blurry photograph will not be accepted for entry or exit.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Tips for local guides and drivers.
  • Single room supplement: $ 1,000 USD/guest.
  • Surcharge for business class airfare (if applicable).
  • Checked baggage fees apply to baggage outside the standard allowance of European domestic airlines.
  • Visits outside the scheduled program, personal expenses, excess baggage fees, telephone calls, laundry, etc.
  • Any additional fuel surcharge may apply at the time of ticket issuance (if applicable).

CANCEL TOUR

  • Cancellation 100 days before departure: a fee of 25%/person will be charged on top of the tour price.
  • Cancellation 90 days before departure: a fee of 50%/person will be charged on top of the tour price.
  • Cancellation 60 days before departure: a fee of 75%/person will be charged on top of the tour price.
  • Cancellation 30 days before departure: a 100% fee will be charged for the tour price.
  • If a customer is not present at the departure time, the tour will be considered cancelled and no refunds will be given.
  • Carnival reserves the right to cancel tours 30 days before departure and issue refunds for any reason. The company will refund the cost of non-visits included in the tour program and airfare.

PAYMENT METHODS

  • Phase 1: Pay $1,000 upon registration.
  • Phase 2: $2,000 before October 5th, 2025
  • Phase 3: Full payment due before October 31st, 2025

CHILDREN'S POLICY

  • Children under 2 years old: 20% tour price + all taxes (no bed, sharing a room with an adult).
  • Children aged 2 to 11 years old: 75% tour price + all taxes (no bed, sharing a room with an adult).
  • Children aged 12 and above pay the adult tour price. In the case of only one adult traveling with one child (under 12 years old), please pay the adult price so the child can have a separate bed.
  • If a guest under 12 years old wishes to sleep in a separate bed: they will pay an additional 100% on the tour and will receive the same standards as an adult.

NOTE

  • Tour prices do not apply to personal or commercial visits.
  • Tour prices are calculated based on a minimum group size of 45 adults or more. Therefore, a surcharge will apply if the number of participants is lower.
  • The company will not be responsible for the loss of points of interest/visits in the following cases: points of interest/visits being closed without prior notice, traffic congestion, or because you stay at a point for longer than the allotted visiting time.
  • The company is not responsible for flight delays caused by the customer's failure to be present at the airport as required by the airline or for personal reasons of the customer.
  • Because fuel costs may increase at the time of ticket issuance without prior notice, we will present the airline's official document regarding any surcharge increase (if applicable) and request that customers agree to the corresponding price increase.
  • Depending on the actual situation, the order of the attractions in the itinerary may change, but all the attractions originally planned will still be included.
  • In objective circumstances such as terrorism, natural disasters, visa processing delays by the Consulate, or changes in the schedules of public transportation such as airplanes and trains, the travel company reserves the right to change the itinerary for the convenience and safety of customers and will be exempt from liability for compensation for any resulting damages.
  • Passengers aged 75 and above are required to provide a certificate of good health for international travel issued by a doctor and a health commitment form to the company. A healthy family member under 60 years of age must accompany them.
