Day 1: October 10, 2024 US - Lisbon

A vehicle and guide will pick you up at St. Elizabeth's Church and transfer you to SFO airport for check-in and your flight to Lisbon. Overnight on the plane.

 

Day 2: October 11, 24 LISBON – LISBON (Breakfast included), Dark)

Upon arrival at Lisbon airport, a vehicle and guide will meet the group and transfer them to the hotel for check-in. Afterwards, they will go sightseeing.

  • The port and city of Lisbon.
  • Lisbon Cathedral: built by the first king of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques, in the 12th century.
  • Chapel of St. Anthony of Padua.

The group celebrated a private Mass. .

Have dinner. Rest at the hotel.

 

Day 3: October 12, 24: LISBON – SANTAREM – FATIMA (Breakfast, Dinner)

Have breakfast at the hotel.

The tour bus took the group to Santarem, where the Eucharistic Miracle occurred in 1266, and to visit the Church of the Eucharistic Miracle.

The group then continued their journey towards Fatima.

The group celebrated a private Mass.

A solemn procession with the statue of the Buddha and the recitation of the Rosary.

Guests will have dinner and rest at the hotel.

 

Day 4: October 13, 24: Fatima (Breakfast, Dinner)

Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the whole day participating in community activities, celebrating the solemn Feast of the Apparition of the Virgin Mary.

Visiting the home of the three children, Jacinta, Lucia, and Francisco.

Have dinner and rest at the hotel. Participate in the grand procession.

 

Day 5: October 14, 24 FATIMA – BURGOS (Spain) (Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for Burgos.

When you arrive in Burgos, explore the old town, the central square, and the Burgos Cathedral.

Check in and have dinner at the hotel in Burgos.

 

Day 6: October 15, 24 BURGOS-LOURDES (Breakfast, Dinner)

Guests will have breakfast at the hotel (Burgos). Continue to Lourdes. Participate in community activities: attending Mass, the Stations of the Cross, and praying the Rosary.

Visit the Basilica of Immaculate Conception, located on a mountaintop, just behind the Massabielle cave and above the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, and therefore also known as the Upper Church.

  • The underground church, named after Pope Pius X, has a capacity of 20,000 people.

The group returned to the hotel for dinner, then participated in the collective procession with the community.

Spend the night in Lourdes.

 

Day 7: 16 Oct, 24 LOURDES (Meals) Morning, Evening)

Guests will have breakfast and then continue their sightseeing:

  • Grottes de L'apparition (Cave of the Virgin Mary's Apparition) Also known as Grotte Massabielle, the cave is traditionally believed to be where the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette.
  • Join the Way of the Cross. – The Stations of the Cross – is 2 km long and depicts the 15 stations that Jesus went through.

Attend daily Mass and participate in prayer with the community.

The group returned to the hotel for dinner, then participated in the collective procession with the community.

Spend the night in Lourdes.

 

Day 8: 17 Oct, 24 LOURDES-MONACO (Meals) Morning, Evening)

Guests will have breakfast at the hotel and check out. The bus will depart for Monaco – a small but prosperous principality, the second smallest in the world in terms of area (just over 2 square kilometers), and only larger than Vatican City, with three sides bordered by the Mediterranean Sea.

  • Grand Palace, photo stop of the famous Monte-Carlo casino..

The group had dinner and spent the night in Monaco.

 

Day 9: October 18, 24 MONACO – PADOVA (Meals)  Morning, Evening)

Guests will have breakfast and check out of the hotel. Depart for a city tour:

  • Formula One Monaco Grand Prix race track, The F1 race track winds around the country with narrow, steep roads and hairpin turns – a challenge for any professional driver.
  • Hercules Port: It primarily serves tourism purposes.

Have lunch and then depart for Padova.

Upon arriving in Padova, the group had dinner and spent the night there.

 

Day 10: 19 Oct, 24 PADOVA – MEDJUGORJE (Meal) Morning, Evening)

Guests will have breakfast at the hotel (Padova, Italy) and then depart to visit the Church of St. Anthony in Padua.

Saint Anthony of Padua is a saint who is very close and familiar to us. His life was pleasing to God. That is why God rewarded him, allowing him to perform many miracles. People pray to Anthony of Padua to help them find lost items.

  • Basilica of St. Anthony of PaduaThis church has three longitudinal aisles, measuring 118 meters in length and 32.5 meters in width. The cross wing is 55 meters wide and 38.5 meters high. Outside, the roof has seven arches, and the two hexagonal bell towers are 68 meters high, reaching 72 meters at their highest point. The cathedral was built between 1232 and 1310. The wall behind the tomb of Saint Anthony of Padua features seven large white marble bas-reliefs depicting the miracles Saint Anthony performed during his lifetime, such as raising the dead and the donkey kneeling before the Blessed Sacrament.

  • The Holy Relics: Behind the main altar is a chapel that houses all of his relics. His coffin is still kept to the left of this chapel. His cassock is almost perfectly preserved despite having been there for 800-900 years. Above, in the center, are glass cases containing many relics directly related to him from the past. For example, his tongue was found intact during the first exhumation in 1263. When his remains were reinterred, they found the remains almost perfectly preserved, especially his teeth, which were intact, and his tongue, though dried out.

Guests will have lunch and then depart for Medjugorje.

Arrive in Medjugorje. Check into your hotel and have dinner.

 

Day 11: 20 Oct, 24 MEDJUGORJE (Eat) Morning, Evening)

Early in the morning, guests will embark on the Stations of the Cross, conquering Mount Krizevac (also known as the Mount of the Holy Cross) – where villagers have built 30 giant crosses to commemorate the 2,000th anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. Upon reaching the summit, the group will visit the tomb of Father Slavko and pray at the Holy Cross.

Return to the guesthouse for breakfast and attend the service at St. James's Church.

The group continued their tour:

  • Cenacolo Community – A community of Italian origin formed in 1983 to help people with addictions.
  • Peaceful Oasis – Located southwest of the apparition hill, it is an area of absolute silence except for places where talking is permitted.
  • Tihaljina Parish – Located in the suburbs of Medjugorje, about 45km from Medjugorje. Home to the most beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary in the world.,
  • Visit Kravice Falls – considered a natural wonder in Bosnia & Herzegovina. It's a large waterfall located on the Trebižat River, with clear blue water and surrounded by lush forest. The waterfall's beauty varies with the seasons and the changing water flow.
  • Celebrate Mass.

The group returned to the guesthouse for dinner. Overnight stay in Medjugorje.

 

Day 12: 21 Oct, 24 MEDJUGORJE (Eat) Morning, Evening)

Guests will have breakfast and then depart for sightseeing.

  • Podbrdo Hill – This is the place where the Virgin Mary first appeared to the visionaries. Here, the group prays, recites the Rosary, asks for blessings from the Virgin Mary, and reflects on the apparitions.
  • Praying at the foot of the Hill of Manifestations
  • The delegation visited and held discussions with visionaries or Jozo priests If there is a scheduled reception.
  • Mother's Village It is a place to care for orphans, built by Father Slavko Barbaric.
  • Holy Church James (Saint Jacob Church) The village of Medjugorje has its own church, run by the Franciscan Fathers. Attend Mass or participate in activities around the St. James Church square.

Attending the Rosary at church, participating in Mass and Eucharistic Adoration, and finally receiving the sacrament of healing.

The group had dinner and rested in Medjugorje.

 

Day 13: 22 Oct, 24 MEDJUGORJE – BUDAPEST (Meals) Morning, Evening)

Guests will have breakfast at the hotel, check out, and depart for Budapest.

Upon arriving in Budapest, visitors will have the opportunity to explore:

  • Budapest Parliament BuildingThis is one of Budapest's most famous tourist attractions and is considered one of the most beautiful architectural buildings in Europe. Notably, the building faces the Danube River, allowing visitors to rent boats to cruise along the riverbank and admire the building's magnificent lights at night.
  • Chain bridgeBesides being the first bridge in Budapest, the Chain Bridge boasts unique architecture and expansive views, attracting many tourists. Built in the 19th century, the bridge makes a strong impression with its four lion-shaped structures at each end.

The group had dinner and rested in Budapest.

 

Day 14: 23 Oct, 24 Budapest – Krakow (Meals) Morning, Evening)

After having breakfast at the hotel, check out and go sightseeing:

  • St. Stephen's Church: named in honor of Stephen, the first king of Hungary (975-1038). It was the sixth largest church in Hungary before 1920. Since its renaming, it has been the companion church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest. Today, it is the third largest church building in Hungary.
  • Buda Castle: Bearing the historical charm of the Middle Ages and the proud beauty of a royal palace, this structure, completed in the 13th century, is located south of Castle Hill (exterior photo).

The bus took the group to Krakow. The group had dinner and rested in Krakow.

 

Day 15: 24 Oct, 24 Krakow (Eat) Morning, Evening)

Guests will have breakfast at the hotel and then depart for sightseeing:

  • Krakow Old Town – Stare Miasto – the old town is a must-see if you're exploring this historical region. It's safe to say this small corner of the town paints a picture in your memory of all the most ancient and beautiful aspects of the area.
  • Basilica of St. Mary. Admire the masterpiece, the "St. Mary Altar," a national treasure of Poland.
  • Divine Mercy Sanctuary: This is the resting place of Saint Faustina Kowalska, Apostle and Secretary of the Divine Mercy. Saint Faustina saw Jesus with streams of loving-kindness emanating from His Heart. In 1985, Pope John Paul II called the Lagiewniki district the “Capital of Divine Mercy”.
  • Celebrating Mass at the new church.
  • Visiting the convent of Saint Faustina.
  • Visit Vawel Hill and the Royal Basilica, where Pope Saint John Paul II was consecrated as Bishop.
  • Wieliczka Salt Mine– is a salt mine located in the town of Wieliczka, in the Kraków metropolitan area, southern Poland. This salt mine was a continuous source of table salt from the 13th century until 2007, making it one of the oldest operating salt mines in the world.

Have dinner and enjoy Polish folk performances. Return to the hotel to rest.

 

Day 16: 25 Oct, 24 Krakow – Warsaw (Meals) Morning, Evening)

Early in the morning, guests will have breakfast and check out. The bus will then take the group to Wadowise for sightseeing:

  • The Papal House and the church the place where He was baptized.
  • Visit the Kalwaria Zebrzydowska church and monastery., the Jerusalem of Poland, with its unique Baroque architecture recreating the Passion of Jesus Christ.
  • Sightseeing Auschwitz Birkenau, Praying at block 11, where Saint Maximilian died in place of another prisoner.

The group continued their sightseeing tour. Czestochowa city – A holy site for Polish Christians. This city is a blend of religion and traditional art, creating a truly unique atmosphere. It is also a special place for Saint John Paul II. He visited here six times as Pope and chose it to host the 6th World Youth Day.

  • Jasna Gora Monastery also known as Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa (Black Madonna): It is the national shrine of Poland, ranked fourth among Christian pilgrimage centers worldwide, after Rome, Lourdes, and Jerusalem. Each year, more than five million pilgrims come here to contemplate the sacred image of the Virgin Mary, which, according to tradition, was painted by the evangelist Luke on a table made by Jesus himself. When the Pope arrived... Jasna Gora, He always came to this shrine first and prayed for a long time.
  • Celebrating Holy Mass at the monastery.

The group then continued on to Warsaw. Dinner and overnight stay in Warsaw.

 

Day 17: 26 Oct, 24 WARSAW – US (Meals) Bright)

Have a Box Breakfast and catch an early flight back to the US.
