Rev. Fr. Joseph Nguyen Tat Thang

Rev. Fr. Joseph Nguyen Tat Thang, O.P. is a Dominican priest and a Doctor of Canon Law. He currently serves as a Professor of Canon Law at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas and is presently working with the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life at the Holy See.
With his extensive academic expertise, rich pastoral experience within the universal Church, and fluency in multiple languages, Fr. Joseph will accompany the pilgrimage as the Spiritual Director, guiding pilgrims in prayer and reflection. Through his spiritual leadership, participants will have the opportunity to deepen their faith and receive abundant spiritual graces throughout the journey.

Day 1: Fri, Oct 30: USA

The journey begins with prayer, trust, and the first step toward the Holy Land.

Meet passengers at the designated gateways SFO / LAX. Check in and complete departure procedures for the flight to Israel.

D2
Day 2: Sat, Oct 31: USA – Nazareth

A travel day that brings the group closer to the land of Scripture and pilgrimage.

Transit in Lisbon and continue the flight to Tel Aviv.

Day 3: Sun, Nov 1: Nazareth

A sacred day in Galilee, where the story of the Incarnation and the ministry of Jesus begin to unfold.

 

Arrival in Israel. After completing immigration procedures, the group will be transferred to Nazareth to check in at the hotel and rest.

 

Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation. Continue to Mount Tabor in Galilee and visit several holy sites around the Sea of Galilee, including the Church of the Transfiguration, Mount of Beatitudes, Church of the Multiplication, Capernaum, and the Church of the Primacy of Saint Peter.

 

The group will celebrate Mass at Yardenit Baptismal Site, and enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Private Mass for the group. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Mon, Nov 2: Nazareth – Qumran

From Carmel to Cana, Jericho, Qumran, and the Dead Sea, this day follows places of miracle, memory, and desert reflection.

 

Start at the Caesarea Aqueduct, then continue to Haifa, the port city located on the slopes of Mount Carmel. Visit Stella Maris Monastery before departing for Cana, celebrate Mass at the Wedding Church at Cana, the site of Jesus’ first miracle of turning water into wine.

 

Continue to Jericho in the east, considered the oldest city in the world. View the Mount of Temptation from afar and take photos at the Sycamore Tree of Zacchaeus.

Visit famous sites in Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, and experience floating on the waters of the Dead Sea. Private Mass for the group. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Tue, Nov 3: Mt. Olives – Bethlehem

A day of prayer in Jerusalem, walking the road of Christ from the Mount of Olives to the places of His passion.

 

Depart for the Mount of Olives. Visit Church of the Pater Noster, Dominus Flevit Church, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city of Jerusalem. Walk along the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane. Visit the Tomb of the Virgin Mary, Church of All Nations, and the Chapel of the Ascension.

 

Depart to the Old City of Jerusalem, located in the Judean hills, to walk the Via Dolorosa. Visit the Praetorium of Pilate, leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and St. Anne’s Church. Nearby is the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus performed the miracle of healing the paralytic. Private Mass for the group. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Wed, Nov 4: Mt. Zion – Jerusalem

This day brings the group to Mount Zion and Jerusalem, where faith remembers the Last Supper, Peter, and the holy places of prayer.

 

Depart for Mount Zion. Photo stop at Temple Mount and pray at the Western Wall. Continue to visit the Cenacle, David’s Tomb, and the Dormition Abbey. Celebrate Mass at Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, located on the slope where Peter denied Jesus.

 

Visit the Pool of Siloam, where Jesus restored sight to the blind people. Private Mass for the group. Overnight at the hotel. Three meals included.

Day 7: Thurs, Nov 5: Bethlehem

A meaningful day in and around Bethlehem, honoring the birth of Christ and the tender places connected to the Holy Family.

 

Visit the final pilgrimage sites in the outskirts of Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, including the Church of the Visitation, the Church of St. John the Baptist, and celebrate Mass at the Church of the Nativity. Afterward, visit the Shepherds’ Field and the Milk Grotto. Enjoy a farewell dinner before returning to the US. Private Mass for the group.

Day 8: Fri, Nov 6: Israel – USA

The pilgrimage concludes, but the graces and memories continue home with each guest.

At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for departure procedures and the return flight to the USA.

Credit card payments incur a 3% processing fee.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

Guests absent at departure are considered to have cancelled with no refund.

The tour price does not apply to personal visit purposes or commercial travel purposes.

The tour price is based on a minimum group size of 35 adult guests or more. Therefore, if the number of guests is lower, a surcharge will apply.

The company shall not be responsible for missed sightseeing/visiting points in cases where sightseeing/visiting sites are closed without prior notice, traffic delays occur, or guests remain at a location beyond the scheduled visiting time.

The company shall not be responsible in the event of missed flights due to guests not being present at the airport according to the airline’s required time, or due to the guests’ personal reasons.

Depending on actual circumstances, the order of sightseeing points in the program may be changed, but all original sightseeing points will still be ensured.

In objective circumstances such as terrorism, natural disasters, visa processing timelines from the Consulate, or schedule changes by public transportation providers such as airlines or trains, the travel company reserves the right to change the itinerary for the convenience and safety of guests, and shall be exempt from liability for compensation for any resulting damages or losses.

Upon receiving the electronic ticket (E-ticket), guests are kindly requested to carefully check all information on the ticket. If any error is found, please contact Carnival immediately for timely assistance and correction.

Guests may complete online check-in beginning 24 hours before the pilgrimage departure date in order to save time and make the process more convenient.

For guests with disabilities or special health or personal needs, guests are kindly requested to have a family member accompany and assist them throughout the trip, and to bring a doctor’s certificate when completing procedures with the airline in order to request suitable seating arrangements as desired. At the same time, guests are kindly requested to notify CARNIVAL US of this special circumstance so that we may provide the best possible support.

If guests wish to select preferred seating positions such as front-row seats, window seats, or aisle seats, please note that the airline may apply additional surcharges for these services.

Guests aged 75 or older are required to have a doctor’s certificate confirming that they are fully healthy and fit to travel abroad, as well as a health commitment form with the company. Guests are required to be accompanied by a family member under 60 years old who is in good health.
