This is more than a tour. It is a journey of faith, beauty, inspiration, and once-in-a-lifetime memories in South America.
The group arrives in Rio de Janeiro at 8:15 AM. Upon arrival, the group will be welcomed and transferred by private coach for a city tour of Rio de Janeiro, one of South America’s most vibrant and beautiful cities. Guests may visit Confeitaria Colombo, one of the oldest and most famous pastry shops in Rio de Janeiro. Personal expenses at this stop are not included.
In the afternoon, the group begins a spiritual visit to several historic churches, including the Convent and Church of Saint Anthony. This sacred site is one of the oldest Catholic religious foundations in the city and is beautifully located near Largo da Carioca. The Church of Saint Anthony, built between 1608 and 1620, reflects strong Portuguese and Jesuit architectural influence.
The group will also visit the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel of the Old Cathedral. This historic church is closely connected to the history of Brazil and witnessed important royal events, including the coronations of Dom Pedro I and Dom Pedro II, as well as royal weddings.
After breakfast at the hotel, the group begins a full-day tour around Rio de Janeiro, known as the “Marvelous City.” The day includes a visit to the world-famous Christ the Redeemer statue, one of the most iconic landmarks in Brazil and a powerful symbol of faith.
The group will also visit the colorful Selarón Steps and continue to Sugarloaf Mountain. Guests will take the cable car to the top of the mountain and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro. Lunch will be served during the tour.
The group will also visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian before returning to the hotel for dinner and rest.
After breakfast at the hotel, the group departs for Aparecida do Norte, located in the state of São Paulo. This holy destination is home to the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida, one of the largest Catholic basilicas in the world and the national shrine of Brazil.
Our Lady of Aparecida is the patroness of Brazil and one of the most beloved Marian devotions in South America. The group will have time to participate in religious activities with the local Catholic community, pray at the shrine, and experience the deep faith of Brazilian pilgrims.
After the visit, the group checks in at the hotel, enjoys dinner, and rests for the evening.
After breakfast, the group takes a boat ride along the Paraíba do Sul River, the sacred place where the image of Our Lady of Aparecida was found. A large cross marks the exact location, and a monument honors the three fishermen who discovered the image.
After this meaningful pilgrimage experience, the group returns to Rio de Janeiro and transfers to the airport for the flight to Foz do Iguaçu. The scheduled flight departs at 9:50 PM and arrives at 12:05 AM.
Upon arrival, the group will be picked up and transferred to the hotel for check-in and rest.
After breakfast, the group visits the magnificent Iguazu Falls, one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in South America. Iguazu Falls is made up of approximately 275 waterfalls along the Iguazu River, located between Brazil and Argentina.
Guests will experience the beauty and power of the falls while enjoying the natural scenery of the surrounding national parks. This unforgettable day offers a beautiful moment to admire God’s creation and the majesty of nature.
After the visit, the group returns to the hotel for dinner and rest.
After breakfast, the group departs for Buenos Aires, Argentina. Upon arrival, the group will be welcomed at the airport and begin a special pilgrimage visit connected to the life of Pope Francis.
The group will visit the Basilica of San José de Flores, located in the neighborhood where Pope Francis, formerly Jorge Bergoglio, grew up. The journey continues through important places connected to his early life and vocation, including Flores, the neighborhood of his childhood, the Metropolitan Seminary where he entered in 1950, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Archbishop’s residence.
The group will also visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Luján, one of the most important Marian shrines in Argentina. After the tour, the group checks in at the hotel and rests for the evening.
After breakfast at the hotel, the group visits Tierra Santa, the first religious theme park in Latin America. Opened in December 2000, Tierra Santa is a large-scale representation of Jerusalem, built on seven hectares of land.
The park presents the life and mission of Jesus Christ, from His birth to key moments of His ministry. This visit offers guests a unique opportunity to reflect on the Gospel story in a visual and meaningful setting.
After the visit, the group transfers to the airport for the return flight to the United States. The pilgrimage program concludes with many memories of faith, culture, and beautiful experiences in Brazil and Argentina.
