About this Journey

Each year, for only a short period of time, Japan and South Korea enter their most beautiful season, when nature transforms into brilliant shades of red, gold, and orange. From the romantic pathways of Nami Island, to the ancient temples of Kyoto, and the majestic scenery of Mount Fuji, this journey takes guests beyond famous landmarks and offers a complete autumn experience in East Asia.

This itinerary is designed to bring guests to Japan at the most beautiful time of the fall foliage season, especially around the Mount Fuji area and Lake Kawaguchi.

D1
Day 1: Sunday, March 22 | USA – SEOUL

Guests gather at the airport for check-in and depart on a flight to Seoul.

The group will spend the following day in transit due to the international flight schedule before arriving in Korea.

D2
Day 2: Tuesday, March 24 | SEOUL

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Upon arrival at Incheon International Airport, the group will be welcomed and transferred by coach.

After breakfast, the group visits the Korean Folk Village, a cultural village that recreates traditional Korean life with old houses, folk costumes, traditional games, and cultural performances. Guests may experience Korean folk culture through drum dances, horseback riding shows, and local artisan demonstrations.

The group will stop for shopping at an authentic Korean Ginseng Center, known for high-quality Korean ginseng products.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

After lunch, the group travels to Nami Island, located about 63 km from Seoul. This peaceful island is known for its beautiful natural scenery and more than 200 types of trees. It is especially famous for its maple trees and straight rows of ginkgo trees featured in the Korean drama Winter Sonata. Guests may freely explore outdoor art displays or rent bicycles around the island.

In the afternoon, the group visits Starfield Library at COEX Mall in Gangnam. Located inside the COEX shopping complex, this library is famous for its impressive architecture and is a popular photo spot for travelers. Guests may also enjoy shopping at COEX Mall, one of Seoul’s most famous underground shopping centers, with a wide variety of shops from affordable to luxury brands.

Day 3: Wednesday, March 25 | SEOUL

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast at the hotel, the group visits Gyeongbokgung Palace, the royal palace of Seoul. Guests will have the opportunity to wear traditional Hanbok and take memorable photos inside one of Seoul’s most beautiful and iconic landmarks.

The group will stop for photos at the Blue House, the former official residence of the President of South Korea. The building is known for its blue-tiled roof and beautiful mountain backdrop.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

The group then visits a famous Red Pine Oil Shop, followed by a stop at a Cosmetic Shop, where guests can shop for Korean skincare and beauty products from well-known brands.

Next, the group visits a traditional Korean Garden, designed with a peaceful combination of trees, ponds, and wooden houses, creating a calm and meditative atmosphere.

Guests will then enjoy the Drawing Show, a creative stage performance combining painting, lighting, music, and live entertainment.

In the evening, the group visits Dongdaemun Market, one of the busiest shopping areas in Seoul. With thousands of shops selling fashion, accessories, and souvenirs, guests can enjoy shopping while experiencing the lively nightlife of this iconic district.

Day 4: Thursday, March 26 | SEOUL – OSAKA, JAPAN

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The group will receive a boxed breakfast and check out from the hotel.

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Kansai, Japan.

Upon arrival, the group completes immigration procedures and travels to Osaka by train. Guests will experience Japan’s modern and comfortable rail system while enjoying scenic views along the way.

Upon arrival in Osaka, guests check in at the hotel and enjoy a cultural experience featuring a Geisha performance, one of Japan’s traditional art forms. In a graceful setting, guests will enjoy soft Mochi and a cup of rich Oicha tea, creating a memorable Japanese cultural experience.

Day 5: Friday, March 27 | OSAKA – KOBE – OSAKA

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast at the hotel, the group travels by train to the beautiful city of Kobe, located about one hour from Osaka.

In Kobe, the group visits the Royal Grand Buddhist Temple, known for its traditional architecture, curved rooftops, and solemn Buddhist statues.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, the group returns to Osaka and strolls along Minto Street, a lively area with shops, cafés, and local street food, offering guests a chance to enjoy the local atmosphere.

In the evening, guests will have free time at Shinsaibashi, Osaka’s most famous shopping district. The area features international brands, local shops, and popular food specialties such as takoyaki and okonomiyaki. It is also a beautiful place for photos when the neon lights come on at night.

Day 6: Saturday, March 28 | OSAKA – KYOTO

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast and hotel check-out, the group experiences a high-speed Shinkansen train ride from Osaka to Kyoto.

Upon arrival in Kyoto, the group visits the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, known for its tall green bamboo stalks that create a peaceful and almost magical atmosphere.

The next stop is the Philosopher’s Path – Tetsugaku No Michi, one of Kyoto’s most beautiful cherry blossom viewing spots. This scenic walking path runs along a canal and is famous in spring for its blooming cherry trees, peaceful scenery, and calm atmosphere.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

In the late afternoon, the group visits Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of bright red Torii gates leading up the mountain, one of the most iconic spiritual symbols of Japan.

The group then visits Gion Old District, a charming historic neighborhood where red lanterns light up the streets in the evening. Guests may have the chance to see maiko or geiko walking along Hanamikoji Street. A cultural show may also be available in this area.

Day 7: Sunday, March 29 | KYOTO – NAGOYA – TOYOHASHI

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast and hotel check-out, the group takes the high-speed Shinkansen train from Kyoto to Nagoya, one of Japan’s major industrial cities.

The first stop is Nagoya Castle, a historic and cultural symbol of the city. The castle is known for its traditional Japanese architecture and impressive golden roof ornaments. Guests can explore exhibitions about samurai history and enjoy the carefully maintained gardens surrounding the castle.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

The group then enjoys cherry blossom viewing along the Yamazaki River, a famous springtime spot where rows of blooming cherry trees create a romantic and picturesque scene.

In the afternoon, the group travels by train to Toyohashi.

Dinner and overnight in Toyohashi. Guests will also experience a traditional Onsen bath.

Day 8: Monday, March 30 | TOYOHASHI – YAMANASHI

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast and hotel check-out, the group travels by high-speed Shinkansen from Toyohashi to Yamanashi. Along the way, guests may enjoy views of mountains and the beautiful countryside of central Japan.

The group may stop in Toyohashi and Shizuoka, areas known for traditional culture and local specialties. Guests may visit a local market, enjoy fresh regional food, and take photos before continuing the journey.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

The group then continues to Lake Yamanaka, one of the famous Fuji Five Lakes, surrounded by peaceful and scenic natural landscapes. Guests can relax, take photos, and enjoy the fresh mountain air near Mount Fuji.

Guests will also enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kawaguchi, another of the Fuji Five Lakes, known for its beautiful views and reflections of Mount Fuji on the clear water.

In the late afternoon, the group visits Oshino Hakkai, a traditional village famous for its eight crystal-clear ponds fed by the spring waters of Mount Fuji. Guests may taste the fresh spring water and learn about Japan’s peaceful rural lifestyle and traditional culture.

Dinner and overnight in Yamanashi. Guests will also experience a traditional Onsen bath.

Day 9: Tuesday, March 31 | YAMANASHI – TOKYO

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast and hotel check-out, the group will enjoy a seasonal fruit-picking experience, such as strawberries, grapes, or apples depending on the season.

The group then travels from Yamanashi to Tokyo by high-speed train or local train, offering a fast and convenient journey to Japan’s capital.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Upon arrival in Tokyo, the group stops at Odaiba Seaside Park, located on the man-made island of Odaiba. The park is known for its ocean views and modern Tokyo landmarks.

The group will then enjoy cherry blossom viewing at Ueno Park and along the Sumida River, where guests can take beautiful photos of cherry blossoms with more than 600 Japanese cherry trees and the impressive Tokyo Skytree in the background.

Day 10: Wednesday, April 1 | TOKYO

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast at the hotel, guests will enjoy a full day exploring Tokyo.

The group visits Asakusa – Nakamise Street, a traditional shopping street filled with souvenir shops and local Japanese snacks leading to Senso-ji Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo. Guests will also have the opportunity to wear a Kimono, a meaningful cultural experience connected to the history and traditions of the Asakusa area.

The group will stop for photos at Tokyo Skytree, the tallest broadcasting tower in Japan and a modern architectural symbol of Tokyo. The tower offers panoramic views of the city and represents a beautiful combination of technology and architectural design.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Next, the group visits Shibuya Crossing, one of the most famous intersections in the world and a symbol of Tokyo’s modern energy, neon lights, and busy city life. Nearby is the Hachiko Statue, honoring the loyal dog who waited for his owner every day at Shibuya Station for many years.

In the late afternoon and evening, guests will have free time for shopping in Akihabara or Ginza. Akihabara is famous for electronics, technology, and Japanese pop culture, while Ginza is known for luxury brands, elegant architecture, and upscale shopping.

Day 11: Thursday, April 2 | TOKYO – USA

After breakfast and hotel check-out, guests will have free time before the return flight to the United States.

At the scheduled time, the group transfers to Narita Airport, transits through Incheon, and continues the flight back to the USA.

Farewell to the tour guide. Carnival looks forward to welcoming guests again on future journeys.

Guests absent at departure are considered to have cancelled with no refund.

The tour price does not apply to personal visit purposes or commercial travel purposes.

The tour price is based on a minimum group size of 35 adult guests or more. Therefore, if the number of guests is lower, a surcharge will apply.

The company shall not be responsible for missed sightseeing/visiting points in cases where sightseeing/visiting sites are closed without prior notice, traffic delays occur, or guests remain at a location beyond the scheduled visiting time.

The company shall not be responsible in the event of missed flights due to guests not being present at the airport according to the airline’s required time, or due to the guests’ personal reasons.

Depending on actual circumstances, the order of sightseeing points in the program may be changed, but all original sightseeing points will still be ensured.

In objective circumstances such as terrorism, natural disasters, visa processing timelines from the Consulate, or schedule changes by public transportation providers such as airlines or trains, the travel company reserves the right to change the itinerary for the convenience and safety of guests, and shall be exempt from liability for compensation for any resulting damages or losses.

Upon receiving the electronic ticket (E-ticket), guests are kindly requested to carefully check all information on the ticket. If any error is found, please contact Carnival immediately for timely assistance and correction.

Guests may complete online check-in beginning 24 hours before the pilgrimage departure date in order to save time and make the process more convenient.

For guests with disabilities or special health or personal needs, guests are kindly requested to have a family member accompany and assist them throughout the trip, and to bring a doctor’s certificate when completing procedures with the airline in order to request suitable seating arrangements as desired. At the same time, guests are kindly requested to notify CARNIVAL US of this special circumstance so that we may provide the best possible support.

If guests wish to select preferred seating positions such as front-row seats, window seats, or aisle seats, please note that the airline may apply additional surcharges for these services.

Guests aged 75 or older are required to have a doctor’s certificate confirming that they are fully healthy and fit to travel abroad, as well as a health commitment form with the company. Guests are required to be accompanied by a family member under 60 years old who is in good health.
